1) Reduces stopping distance by up to one-third in wet conditions: it considerably reduces the odds of accidents in areas where it is applied.
2) Can be colored for traffic-calming purposes: good color retention (thickness of three to five mm) compared to a thin surface coating which will fade away rapidly.
3) Very simple application method: hand-applied.
4) Calcined bauxite aggregate: Produces good skid resistance (>70), polished stone (>70), and aggregate abrasion values (<5).
5) Rapid application: the binder is applied to the surface. The aggregate is then put over the resin and spread out to excess.
6) Resists de-icing salts: road must be free of salts before application.
