APPLIED POLYMERICS

Percol

Description | Applications | Benefits

  • A two-part rapid-cure, 100% solids, liquid-applied, self-leveling polyurethane for use on concrete and asphalt to eliminate cracks, potholes, and spalls.
  • Available in a variety of product grades to solve your specific pavement problem.
  • Available in black or gray.

APPLICATIONS

Potholes and Spalls:  successful repairs require careful surface preparation.  Damaged pavement is saw cut. chipped out, sandblasted, and filled to grade with clean dry aggregate.  Thin liquid polymers comprised of equal volume, A & B sides, are metered, combined, and pumped through air-powered bulk dispensing systems.  Percol is flooded to grade and topped with a traction surface for skid-resistance.  Repairs are ready for traffic in ten minutes.

Crack and Joint Sealing:  deteriorated pavement is removed.  Wet cracks are dried with controlled, hot, compressed air.  Cracks and joints are sandblasted.  Clean, dry aggregate is placed in large cracks and joints and leveled to grade.  Crack or joint is filled with Percol to grade.  Traffic can resume within ten minutes.

Bridge Deck Overlays:  bridge deck is shotblasted to clean and roughen surface.  Percol is sprayed directly on the deck.  Aggregates are broadcast while Percol is liquid.  Loose aggregate is removed after curing.  Process is repeated to build thickness.  Unbonded aggregate is removed prior to traffic resumption.

Benefits:

  • Bonds without priming
  • Positive sealing
  • Fast-curing--can support traffic within ten minutes
  • Resistant to aromatic and aliphatic solvents, oils, and fuels, and to UV exposure
  • Solvent-free
  • Low odor
