Recessed Repair System

Description  |  Advantages  |  Installation Technique

One of the most troublesome areas of pavement maintenance today is the repair of reflective and fatigue cracking. When allowed to advance untreated, structural repairs will be required which are not only more expensive but disruptive to traffic.

After many years of intensive research & development, Recessed Fibrescreed has been perfected as an economic and efficient solution to these problems.

ADVANTAGES

  • Arrests further deterioration
  • Increases the effective life of the surface
  • Can be applied to both concrete and asphalt
  • Fast & effective application to enhance minimum disruption to trafficked areas
  • Repair can be trafficked almost immediately
  • Improves riding surface
  • Can be applied throughout the year
  • Economic and cost effective

INSTALLATION TECHNIQUE

The defective surfacing is mechanically milled to the required depth. The recess is then thoroughly cleaned and dried with the hot compressed air.

Hot Fibrescreed compound is then immediately applied to the recess finishing flush with the surrounding surface. Finally, the treated area is dressed with a  high P.S.V. aggregate to provide good skid resistance.
